There is so much more to Church than the Sunday meetings! For a season we are meeting on various days in the month as a whole Church at Waterfront Place before going into new Small groups in the New Year. During this time some of the existing Small Groups and Triplets (Gathering of three people for prayer will continue to meet on a ad-hoc basis. Do get in touch with the group leaders to find out what they are doing!!
Making close friendships, encouragement and feeling supported and loved are all part of being in God's Church.
A Small Group is the ideal place for this to be
put into action. Our community Groups generally meet on a weekly basis in a local home and consist of between 5 and 15 people.
As well as praising and learning more about God together the groups enjoy meals, outings and parties - in fact anything the group feels that they want to do. The better ones even have bourbon biscuits!!
Be more than just a Sunday person; get involved with a local group. You will find each group will have its own individual flavour. Some will be quite outward focused, inviting their non-Christian friends to be involved. Others will have emphasis on certain areas of the town or particular Christian serving. But all will reflect the values of The Oasis Church. Chat to the leaders or visit one or more of the groups until you find the right place for you.
