Who we are
At the Oasis church you will meet a group of people from all walks of life, who have found Jesus to be real and meaningful. We are committed to living out our Christian faith in our daily lives.
We love to gather together on a Sunday, but we also believe that we can get to know each other and help each other grow in groups: our Small Groups, Triplets and Mission Groups are where this happens.
The Oasis Church is part of Newfrontiers, a team ministry that works with nearly 500 churches in all five continents.
We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance.
Why not come along one Sunday morning? We usually meet at 10.30am at King Edward VI Grammar School, Broomfield Road, Chelmsford. If you arrive at 10.15, tea, coffee and biscuits are usually available! (On occasions we meet at different times - do check the What's on page!)
Our vision is to be a large church which plants churches.
Our purpose comes out of our 5 Gs:
God, Groups, Growth, Going, Giving
This year we are focusing on:
Reaching out to God
Reaching out to others
Reaching out to our friends who don’t yet know God.
We are doing this in our:
Triplets: we are reaching out to God by meeting in groups of three to pray to God and encourage each other. This is our context for discipleship and learning to ‘be’ God’s people.
Small Groups: we reach out to others in the church by meeting together, worshipping God and studying the Bible.
Mission Groups: These groups reach out to our friends who don’t yet know God. Groups that currently exist are G-Zone and Alpha.
