Giving of our money to the local church presents us with some amazing opportunities to say the following to Father God:
Thank you
As an act of our worship, we can express our immense gratitude for His love and grace poured out in our own lives through Jesus death and resurrection. The bible says that through Jesus, the Father has given us access to heaven’s glorious riches to supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19).
I Trust You
This means we can live a life free from worry. Jesus encourages us in Matthew 6, not to worry about tomorrow but to live trusting in the Goodness of the Father to care for us (v29) and to give us all we need (v33).
Your Kingdom Come
Our giving reminds us of the powerful part we play in ushering in God’s Kingdom on the earth. Our sowing financially into Kingdom activity serves to release tangible expressions of the Father’s love both locally and around the world.
